Home Care Work with Global

There is a variety of work opportunities for carers with Global.

Home Care work would suit those seeking part-time work and shorter hours in a days work as bookings could be for two or more hours.

Home Care work ideally suits experienced carers who:

• have young children at school
• have littlies in part-time child care
• women returning to the workforce part-time
• part-time semi-retirement
• are studying full or part-time
• working holiday visa holders
• have part-time family business commitments
• are seeking a little second income work
• are engaged in a creative career and need part-time work to meet their financial commitments
• or any situation you may be in.

Home Care workers are usually experienced care workers, while some maybe retirees from a nursing, social welfare or allied health background, but prefer the home care work arrangements.

All Home Carers with Global need the following essential prerequisites:

• Senior First Aid Certificate
• At least 12 months experience in disability or aged care work
• Current NSW Driving Licence
• Reliable vehicles to get you to and from work
• Sometimes transport clients in your own vehicle (mileage allowance would apply)
• Bowel care (giving suppositories &/or enemas) experience
• Knowledge of the proper use of lifters/hoists
• Personal care experience
• Excellent written English language skills/good communication skills

Desireable:

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Disabilities or Aged Care Work or
• Nursing backgrounds

Successful candidate must attend our Essential Skills Training Program and any other training as specified in order to be allocated shifts.
