Immigration sponsorship

Global welcomes overseas skilled professionals in the Nursing and Disability Care fields to join our team.

Global is registered with the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIMAC), Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) as a pre-approved business sponsor. Global can sponsor overseas Nurses and Disability Care Workers for up to four years. There are endless opportunities for healthcare and disabilitty professionals in Australia.

How does Sponsorship work?

Our preference is for nurses and care workers to initially apply for a Working Holiday VISA. This gives provision to test the waters first by working for Global on a casual basis in preparation for sponsorship. You can also decide if sponsorship is really something for you prior to making that big commitment.

Eligibility - Registered Nurses

All Registered Nurses must have the following: 

• Australian Nurses Registration
• Up-to-date Immunisation
• Minimum 12 months post graduate experience

The work for Registered Nurses sponsored by Global will be in Mental Health and Disabilities.

Nurses who's first language is not English will need to undertake an IELTS test and score 7.0 or above. For more information on the IELTS testing visit: www.immi.gov.au

Registration for Nurses

Prior to your sponsorship application being lodged, all overseas Registered Nurses need to be registered within Australia. For more information please visit: www.ahpra.gov.au

Eligibility - Care Workers

All Care Workers need to meet the following criteria:

• Have a minimum of 3 years experience in disabilities with some knowledge and experience for people with challenging behaviours and mental health issue (we will also consider those with lesser experience who have a AQF Diploma of higher qualification)
• Have a full driving licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• English proficiency IELTS score of 7.0 or above - if English is not your first language
Please note: that we do not take staff with only Aged Care experience.
